Knowledge Technologies (KT) offers the only automated text analysis technology that evaluates the meaning of whole written passages. The Knowledge Analysis Technologies™ (KAT) engine immediately measures writing and content in a way that simulates a skilled human reader and encourages better subject knowledge through improved writing and comprehension.

KT provides software and services that promote comprehensive learning through written expression. By offering solutions that assess content understanding, KT allows education and training organizations to provide meaningful feedback to learners immediately and inexpensively. KT's research and development continues to be funded by many government agencies. KT performs innovative research and development on topics as diverse as team communication analysis, collaborative learning tools, cross language information retrieval for intelligence applications, and intelligent maintenance manuals.

Company History

Founded in 1998 as Knowledge Analysis Technologies by Thomas Landauer, Darrell Laham and Peter Foltz, the company was acquired by Pearson Education in June 2004. In addition to serving the education market, KT is funded by multiple government agencies to do innovative research and development.
